Thanks for bearing with me for my short hiatus. School comes first during finals!
This weekend, I’m headed to San Francisco for the American Geophysical Union’s 2014 Fall Meeting where I’ll be presenting a poster, guest blogging for AGU blog The Bridge, tweeting throughout the day, and blogging every day here on Environmental Explorations. My poster presentation is about how news stories about science written during global and national sporting events can help the public get a dose of science.
This is my third Fall Meeting, and last as a student! I presented a poster in 2012 and a poster and oral presentation last year in 2013.
Follow me on Twitter, check out the #AGU14 hashtag for breaking science news, and follow this blog to see all of the action! This is bound to be my busiest meeting so far, as I am participating in the conference for 9 days.
I’ll also be meeting up with my mentor from undergrad, Dr. G (she’s cool and has an AGU blog herself)! Thankful for her support and that of AGU’s student programs for allowing me to “work” (aka blog and tweet) to cover my registration. See you in San Francisco!
