These don’t need an introduction: here are three great timelapse videos I found this week on Vimeo! For your Friday distraction, and virtual exploration: Enjoy!
Rainier Clouds from Steve Bartlett on Vimeo.
Short time lapse of high clouds moving over Mt. Rainier from the West.
Utah from Spencer MacDonald on Vimeo.
My first time lapse, taken in Zion National Park and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in Utah. Shot with Nikon D5100 kit lens.
Aurora over Sherman Peak from Erik Turner on Vimeo.
During an overnight timelapse on June 6-7, climbers (Skagit Alpine Club and Washington Alpine Club) make their way up the Squak Glacier on Mt Baker. The highpoint shown in the video is Sherman Peak, a satellite peak of Mt Baker. The aurora makes an entrance around 1:30, with peaks after midnight. It’s likely that only the strongest portions visible in the video were discernible with the naked eye.
