The end of spring semester 2014

Well everyone, I did it! I finished my first half of graduate school.

Lake Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Lake Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

This semester, I traveled around the West, learned about the science behind the carbon cycle, wrote a story about a bug scientist, hiked some crazy mountains, interviewed the superintendent of Glacier National Park, graded undergraduate tests and got an internship for the summer.

In a few days I will head to Boulder, Colorado to start my digital internship at Backpacker Magazine! I will be helping with iBooks, eBooks and social media, and I could not be more excited!

But first, I will camp through Wyoming this weekend on the journey down to Colorado. I have never been to Yellowstone or the Tetons yet, so I’m excited for that as well!

Safe travels on your vacations this summer, but you will still be seeing Environmental Explorations in your inbox!
