National Parks and Landmarks in Trouble

The Union of Concerned Scientists recently released a list and report of National Parks and prominent national landmarks that are in trouble due to climate change. The report is called “National Landmarks at Risk,” and you can download the full report or summary.

I have been to many of the sites on the list, and hope to visit the other ones soon. Some of the problems these landmarks are likely to face are rising seas, floods and wildfires.

The full list is here – with links to each individual report.

There is a petition that you can sign to send to your senator asking them to support the $1 billion Climate Resilience Fund. Take action if you wish!
