Anyone who knows me can safely say I am a HUGE fan of Lady Gaga: way-too-expensive concert tickets and all. Although somethings she does are a little outlandish (AHEM, putting plastic horns in her head and calling them her transformation), I accept anything and everything she throws my way. The latest buzz from the Haus of Gaga, however, is a little disturbing.
Yes, I am also one of those people who played Farmville on Facebook when it became popular. Now, Mother Monster herself is jumping on board with Zynga to create “Gagaville”, a neighboring Farmville farm that showcases sheep on motorcycles instead of the common pig. These two mass media geniuses, Lady Gaga and Zynga, have collaborated on this project to give die-hard fans the opportunity to showcase new tracks from her album “Born This Way” which hits stores on May 23rd. With the purchase of a game card from Best Buy, it is my understanding that “little monsters” can purchase her extended album and receive special prizes in the game.
This is all a little nuts if you ask me. Most of her songs off her new album are out already through single releases, fashion show sneak-peaks and live performances on her recent Monster Ball Tour. Once the rest of her songs are showcased on Gagaville before the album comes out, one can be pretty sure Gaga tracks will be leaked all over the internet. I say we all just wait until the album comes out (which is only 10 days, people) to enjoy the wonderful melodies that originated in the pop star’s head.
