It has finally happened. Not only have I found two of the best social networking/sharing tools EVER, but they have merged. World, meet Pinstagram.
Instagram, only an iPhone and newly Android app, gained soaring rates of popularity after being bought by Facebook for 1 billion dollars not too long ago. However, I have heard numerous amounts of college students and others complain that the pictures can’t be viewed on the internet unless an exact website is summoned from the app or you post it there yourself, which is clunky and a hassle. There are third-party apps, but who wants that? Not me.
That’s what developers Pongpaet and Lenardo set out to do on a weekend project- create a web-view tool for Instagram photos, but still keeping the social sharing alive. Through the Pinterest “waterfall layout”, these two men have done just that. Just as you can in the app, Pinstagram lets you look at your feed, your friend’s Instagram photos, and the popular photos feed in a waterfall format.
This is the epitome of things I love – social networking, social media, iPhone photos, Instagram, Facebook connection, Pinterest, and the internet. It constantly amazes me how our social networking worlds seem to intertwine more and more each day, and I love it! Bring on the connectivity!
