Analyzing Big Oil on Twitter

Last month, I completed a Twitter analysis of Big Oil’s social media debauchery. Turns out they’re completely full of shit. But we already knew that!

The analysis found that Big Oil is not tweeting about what sustains them — like gas stations, drilling, and other oily things.

Instead, they are tweeting about their employees’ accomplishments, how to cut emissions efficiently, STEM projects for students, how to tackle renewable energy in a modern world, and the pros of carbon capture.

So I had to ask: If you don’t want to fight climate change, why does your Twitter feed say otherwise?

You can read the analysis here, in the Center for Climate Integrity’s publication EXXONKNEWS. And subscribe while you’re at it!
